Professional ProfileMr. Asadullah Aslam graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Pakistan in 2006. Following completion of his specialist training in General Surgery, he relocated to Ireland to complete his specialist training in Urology.
He obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2012, followed by a Master's degree from the National University of Ireland. In 2017, he completed the FRCS (Urol) and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He was subsequently elected a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU).
Mr. Aslam's post-fellowship training included sub-specialty fellowships in France, Germany, Spain, and U.K., where he developed expertise in laparoscopic surgery, renal stone disease, endoluminal treatment of upper tract urothelial cancers,
thulium laser enucleation of the prostate (ThuLEP), interstitial laser treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), prostate cancer diagnostics, and erectile dysfunction management.
In late 2017, he was appointed Consultant Urologist at Letterkenny University Hospital, Saolta Healthcare Group, where he served as the lead urological surgeon for five years. Under his leadership, the hospital became the first in Ireland to offer thulium laser enucleation of the prostate. He also expanded local and cross-border urological services.
Mr. Aslam is a member of the Endourology Society, European Association of Urology, and Urology in Emerging Countries. He maintains clinical and research collaborations with colleagues in Belgium, France, Germany, the Middle East, and South Asia. He continues to engage in philanthropic work in Pakistan.
Mr. Aslam manages a broad spectrum of benign and malignant urological conditions, including paediatric urology.

- of the prostate)
- Laparoscopic surgery for the upper urinary tract
- Endoluminal laser treatment of ureteric cancer

- Prostate cancer diagnostics (transperineal biopsy with MRI-US fusion)
- Testicular cancer surgery
- Renal stone disease treatment with laser

Mr. Aslam has authored and co-authored numerous scientific papers and review articles in national and international journals. He has presented at various national and international meetings and symposia. He serves as an examiner and trainer for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
