Professional ProfileDr. Aisling Farrell is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Lifestyle Medicine. She leads the Lifestyle Medicine service at UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic Outreach Centre in Swords and is passionate about preventative care and promoting holistic wellbeing through evidence-based lifestyle interventions. Her approach focuses on empowering patients to make sustainable behavioural changes that support long-term health outcomes.
Dr. Farrell graduated from medicine at University College Dublin in 2015. She subsequently completed Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in 2017 and Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners in 2024. She holds a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from University College Cork, along with additional qualifications in Lifestyle Medicine, sports nutrition, dermatology, and medical education.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr. Farrell is a lecturer in the Department of General Practice at University College Cork and is currently undertaking a PhD in primary care dermatology and prescribing practices.
Dr. Farrell has extensive experience managing a diverse patient population and has a particular interest in lifestyle-related chronic disease, skin health and preventative medicine.
