Prof. Michael A. Murphy

Prof. Michael A. Murphy is a vascular and endovascular surgeon and an internationally trained expert in his field. He is also an associate clinical professor of surgery at UCD School of Medicine. Prof. Murphy uses the latest minimally invasive treatment techniques to maximise patient comfort and recovery.

Prof. Murphy completed his undergraduate medicine at UCD in 1993. He trained in both Belfast and Dublin and gained his MD following research in venous disease in the RCSI in 2002.

He completed specialist training in vascular surgery in the University of Oxford (2002-2008) where he was clinical lecturer in surgery. He has published widely and was author and co-editor of the Oxford Specialist Handbook of Vascular Surgery.

Mr. Murphy completed his endovascular fellowship in Australia.
