Mr. Diarmuid S. O’Riordain

Professional ProfileMr. Ó Ríordáin is a graduate of University College Cork. He completed surgical training in colorectal and general surgery in Ireland. He pursued further senior clinical and research experience in colorectal and oncologic surgery in the U.S.
Mr. Ó Ríordáin trained at The Mayo Clinic, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York where he was awarded the prestigious international fellowship in surgical oncology. In 1998 Mr. Ó Ríordáin was appointed consultant surgeon at St. James’s Hospital in Leeds. In 2001 Diarmuid returned to Ireland as consultant colorectal surgeon at Tallaght University Hospital.
Mr. Ó Ríordáin was the first accredited robotic colorectal surgeon in the country in 2017. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
