Professional ProfileMr. Eoghan Pomeroy is an orthopaedic surgeon based at University Hospital Waterford and UPMC Whitfield Hospital. He specialises in hip and knee surgery, as well as complex lower limb trauma and musculoskeletal infection.
Mr. Pomeroy graduated with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 2012. Following the completion of his surgical training he was awarded the FRCS (Orth) and was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University Hospital Waterford.
Before taking up this post, Mr. Pomeroy completed two years of international fellowships: Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario, Canada, followed by additional fellowships in Trauma (John Radcliffe Major Trauma Centre, Oxford) and Limb Reconstruction and Bone Infection (Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford).
Mr. Pomeroy's practice at UPMC Whitfield Hospital primarily focuses on hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as revision hip and knee replacement surgeries.
