Professional ProfileMs. Viviana Sala is an internationally trained ENT surgeon who graduated from medical school in Romania in 2007. She completed her specialist ENT surgical training at University Hospital Waterford and holds a postgraduate teaching diploma.
Ms. Sala is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and has gained extensive experience working as a consultant at Sligo University Hospital.
Her clinical expertise covers a wide range of ENT procedures including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), fine needle aspiration biopsy, direct laryngoscopy, microlaryngoscopy and panendoscopy. She also performs tongue tie release (frenuloplasty), insertion of grommets, micro aural toilette (EUA ears), tympanoplasty, nasal cautery, septoplasty, reduction of nasal fracture, insertion of septal buttons, sinoscopy, and submucosal diathermy or turbinoplasty for inferior turbinates.
