Professional ProfileMr. Osama Elfaedy is a Consultant General/Laparoscopic Surgeon at UPMC Aut Even Hospital and has been based at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, since 2014.
Following his training in Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (Irish Surgical Residency Programme), Mr. Elfaedy travelled to Colchester Hospital University (UK) for Specialist Fellowship training in minimal invasive colorectal surgery.
He provides rapid direct access endoscopy including gastroscopy and colonoscopy, for reflux, dysphagia, abdominal pain and upper and lower GI cancer, polyps, haemorrhoid banding. He also specialises in minimally invasive hernia and gallbladder surgery as well as perianal diseases (fissures and fistulas).
Mr. Elfaedy is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and University of Limerick, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate surgery. He is also an undergraduate and MRCS examiner for the RCSI.
