Professional ProfileMr. Adrian O’Callaghan graduated from University College Cork (UCC) in 2001. Following completion of the Irish Higher Surgical Training Scheme, he undertook a two-year fellowship in endovascular surgery at the internationally renowned Heart and Vascular Institute of the Cleveland Clinic.
In 2014, Mr. O’Callaghan, returned to Ireland upon his appointment to St James’s Hospital as consultant vascular surgeon.
Mr. O’Callaghan specialises in all aspects of vascular surgery, carotid stenosis, endovenous treatment of varicose veins, peripheral arterial disease, inclusive of angioplasty and bypass, and open and endovascular repair of aneurysmal disease. In addition, he is interested in diabetic foot treatment and the management of chronic ulcers.
He is actively involved in medical education, has a Masters in clinical teaching, and is also a post-graduate lecturer in RCSI.
