Professional ProfileDr. Jawad Rasool graduated from the prestigious Allama Iqbal Medical College (AIMC) in Lahore,Pakistan. He completed rigorous training in gastroenterology and internal medicine in Ireland, achieving dual accreditation in both fields. During his training, he developed a special interest in advanced endoscopy, including ERCP and polypectomies. To further enhance his skills, Dr. Rasool completed an additional year of training in advanced endoscopy as a fellow at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. His other areas of interest include general hepatology, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).
Dr. Rasool has been working as a consultant gastroenterologist at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, since 2021. Since 2020 he has held the post of advanced Endoscopy Fellow and GI Registrar at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, Dublin.
Dr. Rasool has worked across numerous Irish hospitals, including, Beaumont Hospital, University Hospital Galway, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Dr. Rasool was a medical tutor in the RCSI Drogheda Campus from 2015-2016. During this time he worked closely with RCSI medical students, monitoring their progress, and liaising with RCSI's Medical Director.
Dr. Rasool has a Diploma in Leadership and Management from UCD.
Dr. Rasool is accepting patient referrals through Healthlink for UPMC hospitals in Waterford, Kilkenny and Kildare.
