UPMC and Bon Secours to Enhance Cancer Care Across the Mid-West
Limerick, Ireland - 21 May 2025. UPMC is proud to once again partner with Bon Secours Health System Ireland to deliver a state-of-the-art cancer centre in Ballygrennan, Co. Limerick, representing a major investment in regional healthcare. This new cancer centre brings additional capacity and improved access to radiation oncology and medical oncology services to the Midwest.
UPMC and Bon Secours Health System have already shown the strength of their partnership through the delivery of advanced cancer services at Bon Secours Hospital Cork, developed with UPMC Hillman Cancer Centre, and will expand this proven model to meet the growing demand in the Midwest, offering advanced treatment and support closer to home.
Eamonn Fitzgerald, Managing Director of UPMC Ireland, highlighted the shared commitment to delivering life-changing medicine, while Bill Maher, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bon Secours Health System welcomed the partnership as a key step in expanding access to expert cancer care across Ireland.
