UPMC Renews Healthcare Partnership with Cork City FC

Cork, Ireland. 2 April 2026. UPMC is proud to continue its partnership with Cork City FC for the 2026 season, delivering world-class medical care and performance support to both the club's senior men's and women's teams, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing sports medicine and orthopaedic care for athletes at every level.

Through this renewed collaboration, players will benefit from access to comprehensive, state-of-the-art services at UPMC Sports Medicine Clinic, Mardyke Arena, UCC. Since opening in 2024, the clinic continues to offer expert-led care and is part of an international sports medicine network dedicated to treating a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal and medical issues, including injury rehabilitation, concussion management, injury prevention, and advanced performance evaluations.

“We are delighted to renew our partnership with UPMC into the new season,” said Anthony O’Sullivan, Commercial Manager at Cork City FC. “UPMC provides crucial support and care to our men’s and women's senior teams that keep them fit and challenging on all fronts throughout the season.”

UPMC’s highly experienced team of sports medicine physiotherapists will continue to work closely with Cork City FC's in-house medical staff, enhancing player care with a particular focus on long term injury rehabilitation and return to play testing. This integrated approach ensures that players receive accurate assessments and tailored treatment plans to support both immediate recovery and long-term performance.

At UPMC Sports Medicine in Cork, we provide expert led assessment and treatment through a specialist multidisciplinary team, including Eileen Foyle, Senior Physiotherapist and Head of Physiotherapy for Cork City FC Women's team.”
