Visitors are very welcome at UPMC Kildare Hospital.
Conveniently situated near both the M4 and M7 motorways, the hospital is easy to access and has plenty of parking available.
Visiting Hours at UPMC Kildare
Visiting hours are throughout the day.
But please note we ask that you don't visit early in the morning, during mealtimes, or late at night to ensure patient safety and comfort at all times.
All visitors must leave by 10 p.m., with the exception of a parent who is staying overnight with a child.
Car Parking and Transportation
Buses to and from Dublin stop in front of the hospital regularly.
The first 15 minutes of parking is free with reasonable rates to cover the remainder of your time at the hospital. The car park is directly in front of the hospital.
No Smoking at UPMC Kildare Hospital Guidelines
No Smoking Policy
There is a designated external smoking area which is signposted to the front of the building. UPMC strictly prohibits smoking and the use of e-cigarettes in all areas of the hospital and near the hospital entrances.
If you're a smoker and would like help to quit, please speak with your doctor or nursing team about available options.
We're also unable to allow candles, burners, or incense within the hospital for safety reasons. Please be aware that our fire safety and smoke detection systems are extremely sensitive and such products are likely to activate them.
Fire Safety
In the unlikely event of a fire, please follow the advice of our designated staff who have training in fire safety.
If you discover a fire, please contact a staff member or go to the nearest break glass point to raise the alarm.
Flowers
We ask that visitors refrain from bringing flowers into the hospital as part of our Infection Control and Health and Safety policies.
Symptoms of Covid-19, Cold, or Flu
If you have symptoms of Covid-19, a cold, the flu, or other infectious disease, please avoid visiting UPMC Kildare Hospital until you're better.
