Best foot forward for UPMC staff on Camino Challenge
13 September 2019 — Best foot forward for UPMC staff on Camino Challenge
Best of luck to our staff members Kay Power and Ger Flannery, who commence the Irish Hospice Foundation Camino Challenge next week.
Kay and Ger will be embarking on a 118km trek along the Finisterre Camino – five days of walking through the beautiful coastline and unspoilt landscape of Galicia in Spain. They’ve spent many weeks training hard for their Challenge, which begins in the city of Santiago de Compestela and winds all the way to the legendary Cape Finisterre, once believed to be the world’s most westerly point.
And they’ve been hard at work fundraising too, including a great bake sale here at UPMC Whitfield Hospital that was well-supported by staff.
We’re delighted to help with sponsoring Kay and Ger for this truly worthwhile fundraising initiative. Best foot forward, lads!!
